During treatment

Breakage will extend treatment time and may require more visits to the office. Our orthodontists will provide you with a list of foods to avoid and offer guidance on maintaining a healthy diet during treatment.
Yes, you can continue participating in sports and activities during orthodontic treatment; however, it is recommended to wear a protective orthodontic friendly mouthguard to safeguard your braces and teeth.
After treatment
Yes, wearing retainers is an essential part of maintaining your newly aligned smile. Retainers help prevent teeth from shifting back to their original positions. Our orthodontists will provide you with detailed instructions on how to wear and care for your retainers.
The duration of retainer wear varies for each individual. Initially, retainers are typically worn full-time and then gradually transitioned to nighttime wear only. It’s important to note that retainers must continue to be worn during the night for life in order to prevent teeth shifting and relapse. Our orthodontists will determine the appropriate duration based on your specific needs.
If your retainer is lost or damaged, it is important to contact our office as soon as possible.Replacement retainers are necessary to ensure that your teeth stay properly aligned. All patients have the option to purchase our Smile Protection Plan (SPP) for coverage when clear retainers CRs are lost or broken.
After completing orthodontic treatment, regular follow-up visits are necessary to monitor your progress and ensure the stability of your results. Our orthodontists will determine the frequency of post-treatment visits based on your individual case.
